This fine looking gentleman on your left (No...the other one. The one with the collar on) is an American Staffordshire Terrier. The Amstaff is a true example of a group of related breeds, collectively referred to as "The Bull Breeds". Namely, Amstaffs, Bull Terriers, Boxers, Bulldogs, Staffordshire Bull Terriers and yes.....The American Pit Bull Terrier. They all share one common, outstanding trait. An undying love and devotion to their families. Some say, that "You ain't been loved..'till you been loved by a Bull" One wag on our forum, recently posed the question "How is it the breed which made the breed and the breed which was made from the breed which was made, are NOT vicious while the breed is? ?" Confused? Don't be. You see, the Amstaff is a direct descendant of the American Pit Bull Terrier , with no crosses of any other breed. Yet the Amstaff enjoys a well deserved reputation as a people loving dog, while the "breed that made the breed", the Pitbull, is called a killer. Does this make sense to you? No....it doesn't make any sense to us either. files from www.edba.org.au/
