Hello fellow members,
My name is Leri (pronounced Larry) and I live in Long Beach, California, USA. I am married with two children (19 & 16). At present I have no Am Staffs, but do have a yard full of pit bulls. 1 Gr.Ch.SchH3/IPO 3, retired bitch (14yo). I also have her half brother, SchH3/IPO 3, NPL1 and POST Narcotic certified, recently retired (9yo). I was gifted a Belgian Malinois that I gave my husband for fathers day, and am really enjoying the new training of ring sports. We inherited a 3.5 year old Chihuahua (sp?) that drives the entire pack nuts and is more dangerous then any of the big dogs in my yard!! We have a litter of 10 week old pups that I could not be more DELIGHTED with and have high hopes for :-)
In 99, I started my own dog related business teaching private obedience to pet owners, dog bite prevention to some of the local utility companies & community groups, and do a little volunteer work with one of our local shelters. I have a bad habit of taking on "projects", but will have to force myself to limit that as the yard will be completely full for a while. I feel the breed(s) are in terrible danger (have been the past 4 or 5 years, but getting even worse lately!) of BSL and take every opportunity to educate and demonstrate whenever possible.
That's probably more then you needed to know ;D
Bye fur now, Leri

I previously wrote: "1 Gr.Ch.SchH3/IPO 3, retired pregnant dog (14yo)"
That was a typo! Poor old Rosie is NOT pregnant and was fixed many years ago! What was I thinking?!

Hello, I'm Kim Bague living in a rather small city Eeklo in Belgium. I don't have a AST yet but since 4 years now I am looking into there eyes, and thinking "I wanna know everything about you, you know, I adore you for your wonderfull character and your nice appearence. One day you walk by my side to the training field for agility, or a pretty walk in the ring, or an IPO training-thing ( )." Since 4 years I'm learning about the AST by reading, visiting our friends( two AST's Vany and Gaza) going to kennels, going to shows and visiting our friends in Medemblik( 7 AST and some cats ( ;D ). Waiting for the happy(my amstaff) day to come....I give all members a and a . When a helping hand is needed, you can call on me. [glow=red,2,300]Dakota[/glow]

My name is Robert Hughes. I live in Norway and at this time I have two amstaff's and one (good for nothing) american bulldog. I work both my amstaff's; I train Atirah(Tercha's Notorious Atirah) for IPO at the local german shepheard club. There are a lot of german shepheards and some border collies and at this time one malinois there. I train Mitra to one day become a sertified Search & Rescue dog here in Norway. It is werry hard training and it takes at least 2 years with good training methods. I allso breed sound WORKING amstaffs. We have one litture after CARD'S Tacoma Soldier and Mitra. (Mitra is Hip-X-rayed free and has an accepted good mental examination.) Our NEXT litture will be a true Tacoma line breeding. For this to take place we need a lot more of people willing to work their amstaff's to take contact with us. Best, Robert Hughes [glow=red,2,300]Kennel Nordic Gamester[/glow]

Hi, My name is Mike Martin. I live in San Diego Californa. I own three Pit Bulls, Pitter Staffs. Mostly from Ruffian lines. I have been in the breed for about Ten years. I started showing in conformation two years ago. My b i t c h is a UKC CH, and her son needs one more major. I found this board researching bloodlines. Dog sports interest me. But I have never been to watch them work. What really sucks is my neighbor is head training director of the San Diego Shutzhund club They don't like pits Look's like a nice board hope to know you all better. Happy Hollidays Mike Martin

Hello Martin ,
Welcome as i've already welcomed you before. I just wanted you to know that we in holland can't train our amstaffs everwhere as well. It seems that some people don't like the breeds , but do we good people want to train there ?? :-) I don't , i like trainers and schools to know what they are doing and realize that it has got nothing to do with a breed ..most dogs training arent the best of social dogs anyway , but they don't want to let you know about that i asume. Maybe you will be able to find another club where you with your dogs are more then welcome ..and that might be some time from now , but as you know patience will be rewarded.
all the best and i hope you will post as much here as possible.

Hello everyone I am Joey. I am a police K9 officer in TN. I am currently working a dual purpose mal. Me and my wife have a 7 year old am staff and we have found her to be a very nice pet. My wife showed her in the AKC show ring. I am looking for a quality breeder of working am staffs. I would like to see if one could do dual purpose work. Of course health and temperment are a top priorty. Send me an email at malinois@preferred.com Thanks I have just found this board. It looks great
