the dogs are sociable animals, all the behaviors, sexual behavior with the behavior of predation, urinary marking with mutual grooming are based on the social relations which they maintain between them and with the human ones which form part of their "pack". The social behavior of a dog develops as of its birth and becomes increasingly complex as the pup grows and that its environment changes. The social training of a dog passes by several stages: sociabilisation of the pup, development of relations dominating/dominated with all the individuals of his environment, social maturity and interactions with all the members of the "pack". Various periods of development of the pup I consider the éxistence of several phases of development in the pup by basing me on the assumption that experiments lived at certain periods will lead to the development of behavior them too. Period néonatale Period the first 2 weeks of the life of the pup, from the birth to the opening of the eyes. Period of trasition This phase relatively short of approximately 10 days is characterized by the appearance of a certain driving capacity. Period of socialization It is probably the most important period of the life of the dog for the development as of the its social aptitudes . Thus we can conclude from it that the behavioral problems are often related to a failure of relationship between the breeder and the pup. The errors made in the first 3 months of the life of a pup will not catch up with ourselves can be NEVER. PS:I hope that you will be able to understand my English.

Hello mick and céline
Welcome to our board ! Social behaviour and teaching all normal is very important for the rest of the dogs live , that is true. I do believe that there is a big diffirence between dogs , their individual ideas of how to react. In one litter there can be all diffirent individuals , once they leave the litter , its crual that they do learn the good ways and neglet the bad.

Hello ;D
So a puppymill is the worst of all.
i think the breeders of any pups untill they leave the nest have a hugh responsability how pups will react further in their lives.
Can it be said that 80 % is due to the socialisation/learning from new owner and 20% is genetic ?
In books it is said that what we learn the pup before 12 weeks they never forget , is that true?

I don´t know the facts in % or age.
But sure is that the breeders have very high responsability with the pups. Give them the best care under their first weeks in life.
And a very high responsability; don´t mate dogs with bad mentalhealth.
When I have a litter, my children always bring much time with the pups, when the new owners tells me that their pups loves children, I´m sure the dogs remember mine. I´m sure that eight weeks old pups remember a lot from the breeders home.
