Biting

Hello, this is my first post regarding my new, 10 week old Amstaff pup, Kayla. I have had her for 9 days, and she's been a bundle of joy. The only problem that I have encountered with her is her biting. She continues to playfully bite my and my wife's hands and clothing while we hold and pet her. I know this is typical behavior for any puppy, but we want to teach her asap to only bite her toys, not our hands, clothing, furniture, etc. We give her a stern 'no' when she bites things she is not suppose to, but it does not seem to be helping. I usually put a chew toy into her mouth when she bites, but I do not want to always resort to giving her something to chew on when she bites. Please help!
thank you for your insight,
Jeff

When she starts biting you and is geting a littel to wild just say NO and stop playing with her and put her on the floor. But if she is biting the furniture get her focus away from the furniture by giving her a chew toy and play with her so she will thing it is more fun to bite the chew toy than the furiture. And alway have things laying around that is can play with and chew on. This was the only thing that worked for my amstaff when she was young.
