Hi Tracey,
What is the name of your dog, the one that is going to the WW-03? And in which class is he/she going to be shown? Do you know if it is true that the AmStaffs must be muzzled at all times while in Germany? Just someting I heard today actually...
Regards,
Ingunn

Hi Ingunn, In Germany dog laws are different from a lander to another, you should try to have more informations to avoid problems. Be careful there with your dog, don't forget that our breed is not always welcome...

...too late for the Welthundeausstellung but anyway: Laws for Amstaff, Pitbull, Bullterrier and Staffbull: Total breed ban, import illegal, any existing dogs have to be tested, depending on the lander they can go without a muzzle after the test. The highest court in the country is going to rule this year still about the future of this whole mess. Chances are 50/50 that our dogs can live on. Tourists can bring the dogs in for up to 30 days, during that time they don't need to wear a muzzle. (Only german staffs are dangerous;)) Keep a watchful eye on your dogs in Germany, there's sick people around, quite a few staff-like-looking dogs were killed in the past 3 years. Even people were attacked because they had a so-called dangerous dog on the leash. The situation calmed down a lot, but if this wasn't my home I wouldn't come here. Maybe one day I will leave again. Back to the Welthundeausstellung: I think it was terrible, Hall 3 where the staffs were shown was so crowded it took 30 Minutes just to cross from one end to the other. The dogs shown (not all I'm talking tendencies) were like I don't like them: big, very heavy, a lot with breathing problems. I'm talking about nearly all races, but it was especially bad with the STBs. These dogs are fantastic workers, I first met them in Namibia. The SBTs here are not nice. And physically they are more like fat rats-it's a real shame what was made out of them. Greettings bones

Hello Bones ,
I like to welcome you to our board - i hope that you keep posting interesting messages like those. I have to agree , germany isa country where i really don't feel welcome with my dogs , i have been traveling thru , but it has always gave me a bitter taste when i had to go outof my car and give the dog some time to pee.
