As a new and very interested member i read around this forum time after time. I read at some page that AST/APBT is not welcome at some clubs. Where i live they say at the clubs: "It´s good that the owners with this kind of dogs train them well with us, instead not train them." Thats good!

Those clubs are rarely found here.
But I do find the answer of this clubleader very interesting, I asked myself many times whatfore those clubleaders didn't let some dogs be a part of their lessons. I was looking in the same way, when you get the chance training your ast or pit or whatever breeds which they don't allow it means that you want to get it socialised by holding back those members the breed gets no input at all.
I ask the question to them ; why are you opening a dogschool ? If not all dogs are allowed. What is your input then for socialisate dogs if you don't allow all breeds.
Well it' s like in the netherlands and other countries were they not allow ast 's to guide blind persons.
Or even a better example
Bonita can't do her exam for IPO because the leader of the dogschool (almost all german sheperds but no one ready for the exam) would rather like to participate when most sheperds are ready.
I think in many ways our dogs don't get the change of showing what they are capable of.

Hi John,
If I have understand right you will move to Italy and open a dogschool there. I'm going to Italy twice a year, as my husband are italian. It would be really fun if I could come and see your dogs some day when we are over there. Where in Italy will you set down? We stay in Napels when we are there. My husbands mother has a "street" amstaff?pit?mix? She looks like a quite good bulltype amstaff black/white. She had a terrible life before she stayed "with us". She was sold just as 3 weeks old puppy and hold in a dark garage until she was 9 months old. They just visited here for giving her food or beating her , when she had destroyed something. Actually it was this dog that wake my interest up for the amstaff. Even if she has been threated bad she has a increadebly good temperment. Always extremely kind to everybody and balanced. Her new owner was afraid of all dogs (espesially for pitbulls) from the beginning and she was only allowed to stay in the garden. Now she's sleeping in the beed....

Well as you might know , holland is a small country and has too much burocration ..more rules then windmills ;-) Omar and us are good friends , and we spoke about a coöperation between the two kennels , but also about starting some more things like a dogshotel , and a dogschool. He lives near pisa - livorno , a region in tuscany.
So whenever you have time to visite us , your welcome ..but do wait till we are there first :-)
