I do not know the exacrt word for knee-fracture by the ast but it is said that it i a commonly known subject that knees-bands tear when dogs are to heavy-playing.
I think mostly that it is wise to let the dog warm up before excercising and training.
Does anyone allready had a problem about knees-bands which where broken?

Hi,
My first AmStaff (she has now crossed the rainbow bridge.) thore her knee ligament straight off while playing. She first got her knee ligament partly thorn over while working out in deep snow, and later it would not heal properly unntill it thore straight off and she could not walk on that leg. It was very sad because it meant we could not pursue a lot of activities we had planned like agility, search and rescue etc. I think some dogs are more prone to getting that problem. I am always very careful now to warm up the dogs before they are let loose to run free/ work out.
